Fishing for Bonefish Fishing for Bonefish

BONE FISHING AT GREEN TURTLE CAY

Bone fish will strip line from a real faster than any other fish you have caught. If you have not caught bone fish, it is possible your most exciting chapter as an angler has not yet been written!

THE LOCATION

The location I have chosen is a perfect desert island, located off the main Bahamian island of Abaco. It is three miles long and a mile wide. Its lush green vegetation is a mix of mango and palm trees, to the waters edge. It has a small population of 200. Three groceries stores, two hardware, three cafes / restaurants and four churches.

THE FISHING

I have teamed up with Rick, who is an islander with 40 years local fishing experience. Green Turtle is famous for its big bones and with miles of fishing to go at, Rick has the flats boat and the impressive catch rate to go with it.

Most of the bone fishing is with fly, but bait and small lures can be used too if you wish. Rick also has indepth knowledge of the other local species to target such as barracuda, snapper, king mackerel, shark and jacks.

PRICING

STAYING IN A BEACH SIDE HOUSE

Staying with me and fishing with Rick in a beach side house for six days and six nights. Two anglers £6000, three anglers £7250, and four anglers £8100. Non fishing partners are very welcome. Prices will depend upon how many anglers are in the fishing party.

This cost includes Rick every morning. If you wish to join me fishing in the mornings and evenings, that’s cool with me.

THE HOUSES

There are two beautiful three bedroom houses which I can use. The houses are not next to the beach, they're on it; put on a costume and within a few steps you are in the sea.

I can look after two anglers and each will have a good sized bedroom, this really is a perfect location to take a partner.

There are three small cafes / restaurants in town, where we can eat in the evenings or we can catch fish and eat in at the house if you wish. There are three grocery stores where we can buy eggs and bacon for breakfast and provisions for lunch.

Everyone seems to hire golf carts to get about, I will have one and can run you around, or if you wish for a little more independence you can hire your own, they are not expensive.

Weeks which suit me are the last two of October and the first of November, but staying in New Plymouth and fishing with Rick can be done all the year around, although I would avoid the hot summer months.

If you are interested in this adventure, please let me know and I will be pleased to help and go through the travel details with you.
